Harmison's Hometown Fundraising, Inc. became incorporated in March 2004. Michael Harmison Sr., having already spent 14 years in the fund raising industry wanted to offer his customers more services, new and exciting products and the best customer service possible.
The first few months were spent researching products, services and attempting to find out what customers really want to purchase from fundraisers. Having spent weeks visiting with customers, clients, manufactures and suppliers Mr. Harmison went to work on a custom brochure ( Harmison Hometown Favorites) to offer products that customers really want. The next step was to incorporate the services that organizations had been lacking in the past.
Our customers truly appreciated the pre-packed student orders, the computer printout showing organizations individual and group profits along with a toll free "help line" to assist with any questions or concerns. Our customers were very pleased that we were able to eliminate so many of the burdens typically associated with fund raising.
Not only has Harmison's become a success, we are already expanding our business and are proud to have recently added Illinois to our service area in addition to Iowa, Missouri and Kansas. In addition to the Harmison's Hometown Favorites brochure we also offer a variety top of the line Hansen's Pizzas, cookie dough, Gift Fruit, chocolate, snacks, Seasonal multi-brochures and the ever successful Value Card Program.
In March 2005, Michael Harmison's wife Lori came on board as the Office Manager as well as sales in Iowa and Illinois. Having spent the first 1 1/2 years Harmison's was in business assisting with conventions, Lori is quite knowledgeable about the business and very familiar with Harmison's customers.
During all those years he did a myriad of fund raising and thus has a vast experience history that will prove to be very helpful to our clients. The last few years he was a client of Harmison’s, where his positive experiences with our products and services encouraged him to seek employment with our company.
Frank is an Iowa farm boy who grew up in Greene County. He received a BA from UNI in Cedar Falls and in 1985 a MM degree from USD in Vermillion, South Dakota. He and his wife Claudia, married 36 years, recently moved to an acreage in the Monroe area and have been enjoying country living. They have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. The oldest, Michelle, lives in Emmetsburg with her husband Tony, who is a pharmacist. They have two children Abby and Alex. Samantha and her husband Jeff are the recently hired high school music instructors at Rock Valley Community Schools. They have one child Halle. Son Mathew, is currently in his 3rd year of college at ISU majoring in music education.

Dan and Shelly Porter joined Harmison’s in early 2006. They were actually customers of Harmison’s and were so impressed with the products and services that they decided to come on board as sales representatives!
Dan Porter was born and raised in Belleville, IL and has resided in Collinsville, IL for the last 15 years. He has a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from Missouri Southern University. Dan has been a Collinsville Police officer for 15 years, in which he has been the D.A.R.E. Officer and a School Resource Officer for Collinsville Unit Ten School District.
Shelly Porter was raised in High Ridge, Mo and has resided in Collinsville for the last years. She has an Associates degree in Business Management and Respiratory Therapy. Shelly has been actively involved with PTA's and different sports programs in the last 8 years since she has been a stay at home mom of 3 children.

Jessica was born 20 years ago in Iowa and shortly after moved to Springfield, MO, where she has spent almost her entire life. She's been very involved in school and various other organizations around town (Leadership Springfield Academy for the Chamber of Commerce and The Ronald McDonald House of the Ozarks).
