| Step #1 Fill out the Harmison’s Casey’s Cares Card agreement form. Indicate the number of cards you wish to have on hand to start your sale. (We suggest 5 cards per seller). Fax your completed agreement form to Harmison’s Hometown Fundraising at 515-961-2266. We will ship your Casey’s Cares Cards along with an order form for each seller and suggestions on how and where to sell. We will invoice your organization $4.50 for each card ordered. (Please allow a week to 10 days to receive cards after your fax is received.) Step #2 Start your sale with a brief assembly to motivate your sellers. Explain to them the purpose of the sale and that your organization will receive $4.50 profit for every card sold. Also, tell them that they will earn $1.00 for every card they sell! Sell 100 cards, earn $100.00! Pass out the number of cards you wish each seller to have in hand along with an order form for them to use for additional sales after their cards have been sold. (During the sale, daily reminders over the intercom and in class will keep the sale fresh in their minds.) Step #3 End of the sale. Have sellers return all money, order forms and any unsold cards. Use any unsold cards to fill any new orders that may have been placed on returned order forms. Return any unsold cards (in good condition) along with payment to Harmison’s Hometown Fundraising in the amount of $4.50 for all cards sold. Should you need to order more cards to fill orders, submit payment in full for the first set of cards along with a request for additional cards. The next order will ship within 1 week after initial invoice amount is received. (Hint: you may want to keep a supply of extra cards on hand, because you will get more requests!) |

Example: XYZ Junior High with 500 sellers.
Sale dates: September 19th September 29th Number of cards ordered: 2,500 (5 cards per seller to have in hand) Date Cards are ordered: September 3rd, (faxed into Harmison’s) Cards Received: September 16th |

| Kick off assembly, September 19th. (It would be helpful to put the 5 cards and an order form in an envelope for each seller prior to the kick off.) Explain to the sellers that they are responsible for those 5 cards! Explain to them to go ahead and sell the 5 cards in their envelope and then use the order taker for additional orders. Tell the customers who ordered cards off the order taker that they will arrive within 2 weeks. Collect $10.00 from all customers at the time of the sale, whether they receive the card at the time of sale or if they place an order. All money is to be collected up front and checks should be made out to your organization. Make sure the sellers know they will receive $1.00 per card sold as an incentive. The more they sell, the more they can earn! (Your organization will be billed $4.50 for each card sold and your profit is $4.50 which leaves an additional amount of $1.00 that you give back to the sellers) | |||||||||||||||||||||
| The sale ends, September 29th. Collect all money, unsold cards and order forms. Have volunteers count money, verify with amount of unsold cards and total up how many additional cards are needed to fill students order takers. Use any unsold cards to fill orders, off the order forms, of those that need additional cards. If additional cards are needed, submit a request for that amount along with the total amount of the initial invoice for cards received. Additional cards will be shipped within 1 week after payment is received by Harmison’s. | |||||||||||||||||||||
| Profit breakdown for examples -If all 2,500 cards were sold, send in payment of $11,250.00 ($4.50 x 2,500) to Harmison’s. Total profit for your sale, $11,250.00! -If 2,500 cards were received and only 2,000 were sold, send in $9,000.00 ($4.50 x 2,000) along with the 500 unsold cards. (It is a good idea to keep an extra supply on hand for new sales!) 9,000.00 Profit! -If 2,500 cards were sold and there is an addition need of 250 cards, send in payment of $11,250.00 ($4.50 x 2,500) along with a request for 250 additional cards. Within 1 week of receiving payment we will ship out the additional order of 250 cards along with the new invoice in the amount of $1,125.00 (4.50 x 250). Total profit for sale, $12,375.00! |
